After
having dealt with 2D packages, Patrick realised that his future
was in 3D. After basic learnings at the Quebec Computer
Institute,
he got more into modern production tools. We could definitely
say that he is a self made artist: he learned everything
through sculpting endlessly using Maya, lightwave and 3DS max.
He had his first job in the game industry through Beenox,
as a character modeler for TV advertising. He then worked for
Microids, where he created characters for prerendered
cinematics. Patrick is currently serving at Ubisoft in
Montreal, where he decided to work on in game characters, as
technology allows him nowadays to fully expand the quality of
his work on high end digital imagery. He creates mesmerizing
skin shaders, and develops a real talent for using ZBrush in
a videogame pipeline.
